Burl Stinking Hibbler

Besides maintaining a regular gig in Galena IL, Burl Stinking Hibbler (Kevin) is in the process of learning and developing the skills necessary to participate in a Dueling Pianos partnership.  Mentored by Rob Crazy Keys, a seasoned dueler/entertainer from Minnesota, it won't be long now.

Until that time, Burl is available to pound on the piano and sing rock’n’roll, rock, pop, oldies, and REQUESTS.

Kevin has spent 22 years portraying the part of Burl Stinking Hibbler performing with Coupe DeVille, the Cadillac of Rock'n'Roll, the midwest regional favorite 50s-60s show and dance group from Quad Cities USA, singing lead and harmony vocal parts, and banging out piano and configuring keyboard parts.  CDV provided fun entertainment and enjoyment for many; the ensemble format and large venue events were tremendously exciting and a grand performance experience...               

He has played regular weekly dinner performances through 2007 at Illinois restaurants, The Captains Table, Blue Goose Run, Trappers Creek. in Moline, Sterling, and Geneseo, respectively.

Kevin traveled for 8 years entertaining and performing music in hotels fulltime.  Singing, playing keyboards and left hand bass lines with Breez Bros; three seasons entertaining on the Mississippi Belle Riverboats, Robert's River Rides of Dubuque IA, performing music through-out day-long cruises, and music during dinner cruises, 7-days-a-week; 3 months aboard the  Eastern Cruise Lines SS Emerald Seas departing from Miami, nightly dance sets with Breez Bros. variety trio and filling-in afternoons with one of the boat bands playing old standards and indigenous musics; Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame of Iowa in 2001 as a member of Coupe DeVille.

The serious alter-ego enjoys providing ambient jazz instrumental piano music including various genres, styles and  requests in a casual, elegant atmosphere. Currently playing piano/keyboard brunch music on Sundays in the Galena Territory in Illinois.
